about

I did a shorter track for this weekend's experiment upload.
This weekend marks one month since my father passed from bone cancer (he had multiple cancers, but that is what ultimately killed thim). He was an atomic veteran with the USAF in Enewetak. I have been processing watching him suffer and die and reflecting on what I know of his life all month, and this track is dedicated to him and all the other atomic veterans who suffered physical and mental traumas from what they witnesses and had information and compensation withheld from them by the US government.
This track is very raw and purposely blown out in places. This was emotional for me to make and I broke down when I finished the recording.
I miss you, Old Man.

lyrics

Withered emaciated body
Bedridden skeletal shadow
Malignant brittle bones decay
A husk of his former self

An unwitting test subject
Unaware and irradiated
Duty paid with suffering
Winter in the tropics - Paradise in Hell

USAF
PTSD
FOIA
Inedible alphabet soup
Cannot satiate a dry mouth

Radiation filled his body
Enewetak's burning sands
